Produced in Japan by Warehouse & Co, John Gluckow garments are designed in collaboration with John Gluckow himself, a long time industry veteran and respected vintage collector. Each piece is functionally familiar but stylistically unique - not interested in simply replaying the hits, John finds weird, funky, and obscure styles that nobody else is making and rebuilds them to the highest quality.

The Sailors Pullover Parka is a very high-quality reproduction of the USN Decontamination Suit top, originally worn on top of a standard uniform during specific cleaning or maintenance tasks around a ship during the Second World War. They would often be personalized, sometimes waxed, sometimes overdyed, to imbue them with additional water or chemical resistance — in civilian spheres, surplus jackets were customized by groups from schools to athletic clubs, leading to a diverse ecosystem of originals in vintage markets today.

It's got a pullover fit, with a flat hem, two hand pockets, a button placket and a round hood with a narrow opening. It's got multiple drawstrings around the hood that can be used to adjust the fit, with an otherwise relaxed body and straight sleeves that layer easily over other garments. This edition is made from the traditional "Navy" denim, leaving any customization up to you, but still looking great if you decide just to wear it.

Made from a 100% cotton lightweight denim, the fabric clocks in at about 10oz, with an indigo dye that will fade over time with wear and washing. It's finished with a one wash to account for any initial shrinkage and break-in, letting you start wearing it right away.

Fits true to size with a relaxed fit. Wash cold and hang dry.
