11.11 is an exceptional label, with an ethos that strongly aligns with the S&S call to own fewer, better things — producing slow-fashion garments deliberately and sustainably across a network of local artisans and craftspeople throughout India. Everything they make is truly unique, with an undeniably natural and "human" element, from their patchwork and kantha embroidery, to the irregular nature of their low-tension handwoven textiles, to the tie-dye and natural indigo finishes, all of which will patina beautifully over time.
The Ride Pant are an excellent take on the classic easy pant from 11.11, with an elasticated drawstring waistband, wide legs, and a slightly cropped fit. They're generally pretty relaxed, with a high rise and roomy top block - lacking any sort of fly, the waistband is extra roomy, and is intended to be tied secure with the internal drawstring.
These feature a clean-finish interior, with every seam covered and secured - down to the edges of the hem and outseam, giving a mock-selvedge appearance if worn cuffed. The top block is partially lined in a lightweight cotton canvas for extra comfort, really elevating these beyond the vast majority of other casual trousers on the market.
They're made from a patchwork blend of 60% cotton and 40% silk textiles, with various warm gray tone and gentle yellow sections derived from natural dyes. Both airy and substantial, it's got an excellent heft and drape, but still breathes well thanks to the lower-tension weave of the body. Due to the patchwork nature of this garment, no two are exactly alike, and yours may different slightly from what we've photographed.
