Named after (obscure) American Little League icon "Birdie" Tebbett, the McCoy's Nylon Coach Jacket is an absolutely flawless reproduction of vintage athletic apparel. Anyone who's ever owned a good coach's jacket can attest to how great they are to wear. Cut with a relaxed fit, the front features two roomy welted hand pockets, with a soft cotton lining inside the body. The trims are minimal, with tonal hardware and stitching throughout, as well as a drawstring waistband for adjusting your fit on the go.
It's made from a completely custom nylon fabric, given a unique finishing treatment to perfectly replicate the feel and appearance of nylon jackets from the 70s. Lightweight and comfortable, the outer body blocks wind, while the soft flannel lining helps keep you insulated on chilly mornings and evenings out.
The details are stellar - two completely custom patches, one chenille, produced by a small handful of talented artisans on vintage machines, and one felt, with heavyweight embroidery throughout. A rubber-stamped "Birdies" script stretches across the back yoke, just so everyone knows whose team you're on.
