Product details
Nigel Cabourn needs very little introduction, but deserves one nonetheless: having over 50 years experience designing and working in the menswear industry, with multiple decades-old brands and international stores with cult followings under his belt. His eponymous brand has a focus on practical and hard-wearing textiles from vintage workwear, producing inspired takes on classic military apparel from the last century.
Like all of Cabourn’s designs, the New Medical shirt has a strong historical pedigree. The shirt is based on those worn by the medics on Edmund Hillary's successful Everest Expedition in 1953. It features a unique yoke and underarm construction with reinforced ventilation holes. The shirt pockets are open topped with button closures and pen pocket in the left chest pocket.
Made from a heather marl chambray with a salt and pepper look with a small yarn count. Constructed with triple needle stitching and lapped seams for durability. The ventilation holes were made on antique machines.
