An excellent rendition of every guy's staple piece: the longsleeve loopwheeled athletic tee by The Real McCoys. Cut from loopwheeled cotton, this heavyweight tee will be your favorite for years with a thick, soft hand and a regular fit, with no side seams.
Loopwheel fabric is exceptionally low-tension and soft, making it very comfortable to wear. Only 400 loopwheel knitting machines remain in Wakayama, Japan, with about 200 running at any time. Each machine can only produce about 12 meters a day - roughly 10 t-shirts. The Real McCoy's had their own loopwheel fabric designed and knit on these machines specifically for these tee's.
These machines were the standard from the 1920's until the 1960s when higher speed (and higher tension) knitting took over for the sake of efficiency at the cost of softness and comfort.
Compared to previous batches, these will still size similarly (if you were a medium on the previous model, you're still gonna be a medium in these), but overall they fit a touch larger, with a hair more room in the shoulders and length on the sleeves.
These run true to size. These will shrink in length with a cold wash and hang dry, but can be stretched back out by hand if needed.
