Samuel Zelig is a modern brand producing vintage-style garments, with a focus on what they call "uniform standards and closet essentials". Taking their inspiration from traditional American workwear styles, the designs are bolstered with French & Japanese manufacturing practices, tweaked to fit and move better without sacrificing durability or design.
The designs are highly customized, from embroidery to printwork, with unique washing and fading finishes to elevate each style well beyond its silhouette. The artwork and original designs adorning each piece from Samuel Zelig are created by designers Jonathan Levite and Melissa Marsella, changing each season and with each style.
The Hotel Shorts are a tasteful warm weather pant with an outstanding fit and vintage-inspired embroidery. Cut with two slash hand pockets and a bucket pocket in the rear, you don't lose out on any space or functionality just because the legs are short. They've got a medium high rise and a relaxed top block, with a natural leg opening and modest inseam. The waistband is elasticated, with an internal drawstring for even more adjustment on the fly.
The fabric is an 8oz herringbone twill — crisp, dry, and comfortable, it's woven from 100% cotton yarns. After finishing, they're given a rinse to soften and shrink the fabric, taking some of the guesswork out of sizing and care. The medium-lightweight fabric is wearable during most of the year, with a pleasant structure that will relax as the fabric breaks-in, developing a comfortable drape and subtle fades over time.
Fits true to size with an elasticated drawstring waistband. Wash cold on delicate and lay flat to dry.
