Product details
Tokyo Sandal is a sister label to Rolling Dub Trio, produced at "The Boots Factory" using the same high quality materials and construction techniques as boots and shoes for their lighter weight slip-on footwear. Their footbeds and uppers are given special attention, meticulously stretched and shaped into an ergonomic 3D fit that prioritizes comfort and bends in all the correct places while you move.
The stitchdown finish allows them to be re-soled by a cobbler when the tread wears away, and the full grain leather used throughout will only get better with time as it breaks in and takes on the shape of your foot. Each pair is made start to finish in Tokyo and is "suited to the Japanese climate" as the brand tells it — we don't disagree, but would add that they're suited to everywhere else we've taken them to as well.
Somewhere between a slipper, a mule, and an engineer boot, the Engineer Slip-On is a fantastic house shoe or your go-to slide. Featuring an open back and an unstructured toe, the fit can be adjusted with the single buckle + strap that runs across the top of the vamp. The uppers are made from a water-resistant vegetable tanned cowhide and are dyed solid black rather than tea-core, meaning the color will stay consistent over time.
These fit true to brannock size, we suggest choosing the same size you would in most athletic sneakers. If you're between sizes, we suggest choosing the larger one.
