Description
The Embroidered Rayon Western Jacket is a stunning piece of McCoy's outerwear. Inspired by the ornamental westernwear developed by Hollywood in its depiction of dude ranches and cowboy culture, as well as the highly embellished outfits of Nashville country performers from the 40s-60s, it's got an elevated design and old school fit.
The body is fairly cropped, with a shorter torso that ends in a partially elasticated hem to really help bring in the silhouette. The chest is relaxed, however, with room for layering and a camp collar, as well as two hand pockets — all of which feature small embroidered details using contrasting black thread. The front and back yokes as well as the sleeves are trimmed with a striped piping, while the placket and cuffs close up with angled square snaps.
It's made with a heavyweight rayon twill with a full tencel lining. It has a satisfyingly-thick weave, with a heavy and fluid drape not unlike silk, and is extremely smooth and soft to the touch. The exterior features floral embroidery on the chest, collar, back, and sleeves, and the tencel lining slides easily over other fabrics and feels good on bare skin.
