Product details
The Real McCoy's leather jackets are produced to a standard higher than just about any other in the world. Even the carefully managed supply chains of the luxury houses can't touch what goes into each of these garments, from materials and design to production. Each jacket is fully atelier-made at The Real McCoy's headquarters in Kobe, start to finish by a single craftsperson.
The Real McCoy's always makes thoughtful and beautiful garments, but this Deerskin Down Jacket is luxe even for them. Made from soft, vegetable-tanned and aniline-finished deerskin, it's an exceptionally elevated recreation of a 70s era down jacket.
The black deerskin jacket is finished with a zip and snap closure with a minimal stand collar for warmth. The jacket features two slash hand warmer pockets on the outside, with one more interior pocket for extra secure storage. The down is mostly French duck feathers with a 675 fill power.
This may go without saying, but being made from deerskin, the leather may have imperfections (like small scratches) that are still visible even after dyeing, These are normal and part of the process of making garments from leather - doubly so when we're talking about Japanese deerskin, as sufficiently high-quality deer hides have been in high demand with very low supply for several years now, while the stock of suitable deer continues to shrink.
Fits true to size. Do not wash or dry.
