It only takes a few seconds of handling a Bode garment to understand the incredible complexity and detail in each piece. Concepts are pushed to their logical conclusion, choosing detailed embroidery or hand-beaded designs in place of simpler prints or woven patterns. With their emphasis on one-of-a-kind garments, antique textiles, and truly inspired takes on classic workwear styles, we're incredibly excited to be adding Bode to our lineup.
Inspired by vintage children's quilts, the Animal quilt trousers feature a quilted patchwork of 70% wool/30% nylon panels. Certain panels at random intervals around the pants feature embroidered animals, rendered in different colors and styles.
These are cut extremely agreeably, following a trend that we refer to around the shop as "leg-shaped pants". Admittedly, this is less of a trend, and more a way to classify pants and trousers that follow the natural shape of a person's body - usually featuring a medium rise, accommodating (but not wide) thigh, and a gradual & flattering taper down to a leg opening big enough to wear with sneakers or boots.
Being cut as a more unisex garment (which is to say, small), and featuring waist ties at both hips that can be used to adjust the fit at the waist, we suggest sizing up 2 or more sizes for most folks. Check our measurements before ordering, but pay close attention to the waist, and remember that they should measure slightly large for the best fit.
