From hand-weaving to hand-knitting, traditional dyeing methods, and atelier-style production, they work to create truly unique and beautiful pieces that highlight the skill and history of the craftspeople who make them.
Inspired by 1920s baseball uniforms, the Andrew Shirt is a new style for Fall/Winter '24, and easy layering piece with a flat collar and two chest pockets. The fit is slightly relaxed, but not so wide as to only work as an overshirt, easily (and comfortably) tucking in to trousers for a more classic look. It's perfect for transitional seasons, an outer layer when temperatures are high, and a mid-layer or shirt when things cool down.
It's made from Indi + Ash's handwoven denim, a 100% cotton 2x1 twill with a slightly irregular face texture. The handwoven nature of the fabric highlights its slubby yarns, the warp of which is colored with iron-based dyes, while the weft uses natural indigo. Despite its relative heft and sturdiness, the fabric is immediately soft and comfortable, requiring no break in. Over time, the fabric will continue to soften and relax, while the indigo and irons yarns will also gradually fade, especially after washing, developing a unique patina for each wearer.
True to size with a relaxed, overshirt fit. Wash cold and hang dry.
