Black Sign's Solder Shirts take inspiration, predictably, from 1930s military shirts, including all the original tailoring details and utilizing unique, interesting fabrics. They're cut with a relaxed body, featuring two chest pockets, a gathered back, angular reinforced elbows, an extended "shield" placket, and a hidden chin strap collar.

For additional durability, the collar, yoke, and half of the front of the shirt are partially lined. The rounded shirttails and shield placket wear well tucked-in, giving this a bit more stylistic versatility than more contemporary military or work shirts. The hardware is certainly on par with the other details, as everything closes up with decorative 1930s style buttons.

This version of the Solder Shirt is made from a 100% cotton dobby cloth, woven with double indigo yarns that will fade over time with wear and washing. Weighing in at a comfortable 5.5oz, it's got a subtle and handsome texture throughout that will only improve as you wear it. The inside is partially lined with a black canvas through the collar and back yoke, and a khaki canvas through part of the chest.
