Description
OrSlow is consistently one of our most popular brands, and for good reason — their combinations of great fits, custom fabrics, and handsome styles fit easily into almost any wardrobe. Founded in 2005 by designer Ichiro Nakatsu, OrSlow takes it’s name from Ichiro’s desire to make the opposite of fast fashion, or ‘slow clothing’, as he would put it.
A more relaxed fit than orSlow's standard Fatigues, these feature a medium-high rise with a full thigh and wide leg, tapering very slightly below the knee.This unisex cut is much more true to vintage Fatigue Pants, comfortable and easy to wear most of the year and easy to pair with a variety of different outfits.
OrSlow's usual construction details are all present as well, from the two patch pockets on the front (and the two rear patch pockets that button closed with a flap), to the side tab adjusters, to the button fly and custom labels. Everything comes together to make a exceptional quality interpretation of a classic garment.
They're made from fairly dense linen canvas fabric that is ideal for hot weather, with a hand that looks and feels, soft, airy, and washed down, the fabric is dyed with black Sumi ink, giving an irregular finish to the whole thing as some yarns come out darker than others. Despite the weight of the fabric, these are a very comfortable trouser in hotter weather, with a breezy and relaxed weave that lets air blow through easily, and dries quickly.
They're finished with tonal hardware (buttons) to close up the front placket, and not a lot else. Over time, the textured face of the fabric will continue to fade, developing a unique patina as the ink pigments gradually wear away.
