IssueThings is a brand worth checking out — it's difficult to find, especially outside of Japan, with fantastic design and a level of quality that exceeds our already high standards. Originally founded in 2020, their pieces are unisex, often coming in only one size and cut generously for a relaxed fit, with contemporary styles inspired by everything from countercultural youth movements to vintage military surplus.
The Type 75 Shirt is a relaxed short sleeve button-up shirt with raw edges and a really outstanding fabric. Lightweight and comfortable, the purple body features a very unique pearlescent texture, shifting in tone between various shades of blues and purples depending on how it moves and catches the light. It's really straightforward besides the texture, honestly, just a great and classic fit with an outstanding fabric.
Made from a blend of cotton and silk, it's a soft and lightweight fabric that breathes well and feels great on bare skin. Over time, the texture of the fabric will only get more extreme, as the raw hem frays more visible and the outer yarns fade to reveal the bright blue weft. Beyond that, what you see is what you get — a relaxed body, no pockets, and tonal buttons up the placket.
