Description
OrSlow is consistently one of our most popular brands, and for good reason — their combinations of great fits, custom fabrics, and handsome styles fit easily into almost any wardrobe. Founded in 2005 by designer Ichiro Nakatsu, OrSlow takes its name from Ichiro’s desire to make the opposite of fast fashion, or ‘slow clothing’, as he would put it.
The Super Dad's Fit is an exaggerated update to the already-fantastic Dad's Fit, with an even wider top block and leg for a more pronounced 90s style silhouette. They've still got the same roomy high rise and subtle taper below the knee, but definitely feel and look larger all around. They feel wide without being baggy, comfortable and easy to wear with basically anything. The front closes up with a brass zip fly and the usual custom OrSlow button at the waist.
They're made from OrSlow's custom wide (non-selvedge) black denim and finished with an evenly-faded stonewash. Woven with 100% cotton yarns and clocking in at about 13.5oz, it's a lower tension, slubby fabric with a soft hand and subtly hairy texture. The stonewash has completely broken in the fabric and handled all potential shrinkage, with an immediately comfortable and relaxed drape as well as a faded gray coloration and uniquely patinated seams.
Not sufficiently pleased stopping at only the fabric, orSlow also completely uses custom hardware. In this case, exposed and hidden stainless rivets and tonal black thread. Little details, sure, but how much attention a brand pays to the little details is always telling, and orSlow pays a lot of attention.
True to size - check the size chart to find your fit. Minimal shrink expected with a cold wash and hang dry, as these are prewashed.
