Like so many of our favorite brands, Attractions was born from an appreciation of vintage clothing. Originally founded in 2006, Attractions began as a vintage reseller, importing pieces from the United States and UK before starting their own production in 2011. Their experience in the vintage world provided them with the knowledge and inspiration necessary to develop their own styles, growing into an impressive and unique brand in a market saturated with alternatives.
Attractions' Summer Trousers are a lightweight seasonal version of their Heritage work pants — an excellent "old world" casual pant (that you could certainly get away with dressing up in modern times) with a creased front and a handsome taper. Cut with a comfortable medium high rise, they feature an athletic leg with a noticeable taper the whole way down the leg and ending with an opening that looks great with most publicly acceptable footwear (just nothing gaudy).
The denim edition is made from 100% Zimbabwean cotton, with an uneven-yarn weave and a slightly hairy texture. Weighing in at a comfortable (and lightweight for a denim trouser) 8oz, it's perfect for warmer weather and transitional seasons. As the outer yarns are indigo dyed, they will fade over time, developing a unique patina for each wearer.
The other details are simple but fitting, from the urea button fly, to the horizontally sewn waistband (a tailoring trick that increases longevity by resisting the amount of mechanical stretch in the waist), they're low key but extremely appealing. They've got two front pockets and two rear pockets for storing all your stuff, with darts running down the seat for additional shaping.
