Monitaly's Submarine Pants are a really unique military-style cargo with six pockets and a high rise tapered fit. The main front and back pockets are gusseted with inverted box pleats for extra room while maintaining a flat silhouette when empty. The front closes up with a swooping asymmetrical zip fly and double snap waistband, with 7 belt loops around the waist.
They're made from one of Monitaly's proprietary textiles, a custom sateen produced by Vancloth & Sons in Los Angeles. Based on the fabric of a 1940s military jacket, with an extra tight and dense weave that imbues the trousers with a pleasant structure and gentle shine. It has a smooth face that's generally resistant to wind and water as a result of the moderate weight and tight weave, leaving very little space between yarns.
Fits true to size. Wash cold and hang dry.
