The civilian model of A-1 jackets feature a similar silhouette to the military version, most notably differing at the collar and cuffs, which are not knit. It has the same relaxed body through, with a knit wool hem and a corozo nut button placket. There are two utility pockets on the front, a classic collar, and adjustable button cuffs, which pair well with the slightly relaxed and cropped fit.
The leather is a 1.3mm full grain steerhide roughout suede (that's a mouthful) - this is the reverse side of Y'2's oiled steerhide. Ultra soft and supple, this leather requires virtually no break-in whatsoever. It's dyed a rich camel brown, with a ton of tonal depth - this leather absolutely pops in just about any lighting, but it looks especially incredible in sunlight.
Inside, it's lined with a smooth and comfortable lightweight cotton/rayon fabric — offering a perfect blend of softness and "slickness" for lack of a better term, as this fabric won't cling to your skin or other clothing, allowing for easy layering. The back yoke is dropped, with a western-style point down the middle, giving the whole thing a subtle cowboy-in-the-army vibe to the jacket.
