The story behind these boot socks is pretty cool in our opinion - the Pennsylvania factory that produces our house-brand socks found some vintage knitting machines tucked away in a dark corner of their facilities, and our interest was immediately piqued. These vintage machines were previously used to manufacture socks for the US military, using a pattern originally designed by an Oregon-based sporting goods brand for maximum comfort and durability.
In addition to the machines, they also happened to still have the original made-in-USA yarns that those vintage batches of boot socks were made from on hand. These blended yarns are primarily spun from nylon, merino wool, and polyester, offering exceptional softness, moisture management, and antibacterial properties to keep your feet dry and comfortable even during long days on the trail.
We've had them "cut" to mid-calf length, perfect for any boots from chukkas to engineers, with a cushioned foot bed, a reinforced heel and toe, and a snug fit with additional shaping through the arch. The shaft is knit in a true rib pattern for maximum comfort and to stay secure around your leg, and each pair features a mini "S&S" in our favorite safety orange on the ankle, tastefully beneath what the vast majority of boots will cover.
Fits sizes 8.5 - 12 comfortably. Machine wash cold and tumble dry low.
