Like so many of our favorite brands, Attractions was born from an appreciation of vintage clothing. Originally founded in 2006, Attractions began as a vintage reseller, importing pieces from the United States and UK before starting their own production in 2011. Their experience in the vintage world provided them with the knowledge and inspiration necessary to develop their own styles, growing into an impressive and unique brand in a market saturated with alternatives.
Attractions' Roper Boots are entirely unique within our lineup. They've got an embellished old school Western style, leaning more into the hard-wearing aspects of Roper boots over the more well known Cowboy boot. Featuring an extremely handsome and unique vamp shape, a diamond-embossed shaft, solid brass hardware, and meticulous stitchwork throughout, they're a stunning and totally original boot.
The leather is a tea core burgundy steerhide, from a Japanese tannery that specializes in chrome-tanned leathers. Stiff at first, it will relax considerably with time, softening and taking the shape of the wearer's foot. Being a tea core leather, the red dye only covers the surface of the hide, leaving the "core" natural - as a result, these will develop a unique and dramatic patina over time as the red outside wears off to reveal the tan underneath.
The trims were chosen to best match the style, with Attractions using brass D-rings as their pull tabs at the front and back of the shaft, as well as a brass buckle on the vamp strap. They stand on logger heels with a leather outsole, cutting a sleek profile and reducing the time needed to properly "break in" these boots, as the sole will relax more quickly from wear.
They're finished with a 270 degree goodyear welt construction, meaning that any skilled cobbler will be able to re-sole these after they wear down, allowing you to keep them in your rotation indefinitely (with proper care). They're built around the Attractions Dress Last, a custom last with an asymmetrical fit, tapered forefoot, and a handsome silhouette.
Choose 1 size smaller than your Brannock size for the best fit. See sizing info for more details.
