Product details
From Victorian era curiosities to early 20th century equestrian and motorcycle wear to rare WW2 era items - Black Sign garments are beautifully constructed, with a shared identity and aesthetic cohesion running through the collection to a degree we rarely see in brands focusing on reproductions & recreations.
Black Sign's plain belt is just that, but that doesn't mean there aren't some killer details. They are made with new old stock North & Judd belt buckles from the 1950s, identifiable by the anchor mark seen on the inside. This famous buckle manufacturer made everything from trouser clasps to horse bridal hardware and a well known maker of belt buckles in the midcentury, especially for the military and other uniformed services.
The belt itself is made from choice shoulder cowhide. The leather has been oiled and will patina well with wear and age. The belt is 45mm wide and about 3.5mm thick.
- 100% Cowhide shoulder leather
- New Old Stock 1950s belt buckle
- Hardware prod. by North & Judd of New Britain Ct.
- 5 holes
- Leather keeper
- Black Sign internal stamp
- Even sizes
- Made in Japan
