From Victorian era curiosities to early 20th century equestrian and motorcycle wear to rare WW2 era items - Black Sign garments are beautifully constructed, with a shared identity and aesthetic cohesion running through the collection to a degree we rarely see in brands focusing on reproductions & recreations.

The Quilting Athletic Pants are a companion style to the Quilting Athletic Vest and Jacket, forming a handsome set of thermals or a cohesive and remarkably comfortable "suit". They're got a nice high rise, with tapered legs that end in zip cuffs for extra ventilation and ease of layering, and feature an adjustable drawstring waistband & snap fly to close things up.

They're made from a 100% cotton padded and waxed ripstop fabric from British Millerain, a world-renowned manufacturer of oiled and waxed fabrics. Lightweight and water resistant, it packs impressive tensile strength and durability given its thickness and lack of heft, insulating well thanks to the quilted body. Inside, it's lined with Solar Sensor L, a polyester fabric with antistatic and thermoregulatory properties that help keep you comfortable whether you're wearing these as a thermal layer or as proper trousers.
