Since 2006, Mountain Research has been delivering some of the best outdoor wear around – both in style and function. The brainchild of Japanese designer Kobayashi Setsumasa, the brand has a singular focus on outdoor life without falling into any of any stereotypical ravines of the style. Kobayashi takes inspiration from the golden age of outdoor wear, military and naval designs, as well as modern mountaineering gear. Altogether, it refers to itself as ‘Anarcho Mountaineers.’

Your classic crewneck sweatshirt with a raglan sleeve construction. This being Mountain Research of course there is thoughtful addition. In this case the sweatshirt features a single color print of a portrait of Henry David Thoreau, the New England naturalist and philospher. So pull up a stool and your copy of Walden and slip into the MT Sweat.
