The Modesto Fit is Freenote's newest denim cut in their (now) 7 style lineup. They call it their "workwear fit", and we're inclined to agree, as these feature a high rise and a full top block with wide, straight legs. They'll fit over boots without issue, and have enough room to really move around in, being pretty unrestrictive in general.
The details are important too, and they weren't skipped - from the copper rivets to the flat-felled seams and 1/8" double needle stitching, the construction is extremely solid, durable and robust while remaining traditional. They have the classic five pocket configuration, with acorn shaped back pockets and a copper button fly.
This batch is made from a a 14oz ecru selvedge denim from Japan. This un-dyed fabric features prominent dark neps throughout, and will pick up color over time from wear, growing darker - an inverse to the way indigo denim ages. The fabric is sanforized, so minimal shrinkage is expected with a cold wash and hang dry, and you should take your usual size.
Fits true to size. Wash cold and dry delicate or hang dry.
