Description
Kapital's SHAM BOMBER jacket is a truly unique two-in-one garment. While some jackets are content to sport something simple like a stow away hood, others go harder, like reversible garments — this bomber takes it in a new direction, turning itself into a pillow. That's right, in just three simple steps, the entire garment converts into a pillow, and/or this remarkable pillow turns back into a jacket.
Cut in a more classic flight jacket fit, with a roomy, slightly-cropped body and relaxed raglan sleeves. The shoulders are reinforced with two piping-rimmed panels that fold into the two faces of the pillow. On the left shoulder, a single additional pocket can be found.
The body is the jacket is made from a sturdy midweight nylon fabric, substantial enough to keep the wind out but not stiflingly hot or heavy. On the inside and covering the left shoulder is that same 100% nylon fabric in a bright safety orange, adding contrast. At the neck, cuffs, and hem, knit ribbing helps secure the garment for a more classic (if exaggerated) bomber jacket fit, while two welted handwarmer pockets at either side of the jacket give you something to do with your hands.
To convert into a pillow, remove the jacket and zip the front fully closed. Fold the jacket flat, so both shoulder panels are face down, and then fold that in half again — leaving one panel facing up, and the other down. From there, simply connect and zip the "Hair Peace" zipper around the garment and voila! You've got a pillow now.
True to size with an old school slightly-cropped flight jacket fit. Hand wash in cold water, then hang dry in the shade.
