Product details
Rolling Dub Trio are produced in small batches from the Tokyo-based "The Boots Factory", the name of the production wing of RDT. Inspired by vintage styles, Rolling Dub Trio designs are unique, featuring inspired twists and always using the highest quality materials on the market.
Utilizing old world construction methods, from two-row stitchdown to 360 flat welts, Rolling Dub Trio footwear is built not only to last, but to be fully rebuildable and recraftable over time. Featuring heavy, precise stitchwork and cleanly cut uppers - Rolling Dub Trio's footwear is as handsome as it is strong and comfortable.
The Loro were inspired by hard wearing Western Roper boots, with a sleek profile and slender shaft. Featuring a double row stitchdown construction, an antique brass side zip, and a raised logger heel, they're handsome and hard-wearing, but will only get better over time as the black dye at the surface of the leather wears down and reveals the brown core underneath.
The vamp and heel are made from a "lightweight" black horsehide that features a pronounced tea core effect - meaning the black dye has not penetrated beyond the surface of the leather, and over time the brown interior will be revealed as the dye wears away. The expertly selected horsehide will form appealing rolls as it wears in, differing from the more tight creases that aged cowhide will develop.
The shaft is sewn up from a tight grain textured goatskin, with flame embroidery around the entire thing. Shiny, supple, and stunningly detailed, the embellished shafts pair perfectly with the ornate "toebug" stitching, western vamp, and the stellar construction.
Standing on a Vibram #269 Western outsole and Quabaug heel, the toe is completely unstructured for a sleek, low profile silhouette. The inside features a kip lining that will break in over time and take the shape of your foot, becoming more and more comfortable as the insole softens with wear.
These are built on Rolling Dub Trio's modified Munson last with a standard D-width. As a roper, these feature a narrow shaft and low instep that can make challenging to get on or off for individuals with particularly high arches and/or insteps.
