From Victorian era curiosities to early 20th century equestrian and motorcycle wear to rare WW2 era items - Black Sign garments are beautifully constructed, with a shared identity and aesthetic cohesion running through the collection to a degree we rarely see in brands focusing on reproductions & recreations.
A collarless vintage-style hunting jacket, with a relaxed fit and some outstanding details. From the padded shoulder, to the belted game pockets, to the ammunition pouch at the chest, it faithfully pulls from the original technical outdoor clothing, with a gusseted bi-swing back for ease of movement at all times.
It's made from a heavyweight 50% linen / 50% ramie hemp canvas fabric that Black Sign have washed for additional softness. Soft and breathable, it's perfect for hot weather, keeping the sun off your skin without trapping in heat. The linen canvas is also fast-drying, with a worn texture that will continue to patina beautifully over time.
It wears flatteringly both open and closed, with a more formal silhouette and spectacular drape thanks to the weight and looseness of the fabric. It's held together with precise and heavyweight tonal stitching, and closes up with rich brown nut buttons.
Fits true to size. Wash cold and hang dry.
