Description
Kapital's Western Shirts have long been a favorite of ours here at S&S, dating back to the era before we even carried the brand, when our owner Neil went out of his way to get them for himself wherever he could. Our love of the style hasn't changed over the years, and we always try to bring at least one new model in each season, with the "IDG DO-GI" version being the winner this time around.
The cut itself is unchanged from other models of the Kapital western shirt, with a long and slim torso that can be comfortably worn tucked-in, or left out for a more contemporary look. The pattern is based on old "longhorn" western shirts, with asymmetrical slant pockets rather than the classic "sawtooth" style, and a minimalist front and back yoke with pointed embellishments. It closes up with tonal snaps at the pockets and hem, and features chainstitch runoffs at the side seams just above the hem.
It's made from a pretty substantial indigo dobby cloth that features an almost sashiko-adjacent texture throughout. Like any indigo fabric, it will start to fade over time from wear and washing, developing a unique and handsome patina as you move through life.
