This model of 1st PAT-RN's Georg Trousers are exclusive to us here at Standard & Strange, only available at our stores and directly from 1st PAT-RN themselves in Italy. Once these are gone, they're gone for good.
1st PAT-RN is the brainchild of designers Cristiano Berto and Silvia Piccin, established out of their combined experience in design and fashion consultation. Their garments are laser focused on wearability and optimized for daily life. Kind of a strange sentence, because what clothes aren't? But it starts to make a lot more sense once you've tried on some 1st PAT-RN. Everything, and we do mean everything, from the fabric composition, to the cut, to the placement of pockets, is done with the wearer in mind.
The Georg Trousers are a slightly more relaxed and straight leg pant from 1st PAT-RN (especially when compared against the tapered Logan Trousers we usually stock). They're a very elevated take on a 2-tuck trouser, with a double-pleat at the top of each leg, side tab waist adjusters, and four roomy pockets for storage. They're cut with a very slight taper, but visually, we'd call these a pretty true straight leg, maybe bordering on slim-straight. The legs are finished with a serge stitch at the hem to allow for easier tailoring.
The fabric is completely custom, produced for 1st PAT-RN in the Veneto region of Italy, woven from a blend of cotton and linen. The dark blue color comes from yarn-dyeing, with subtle variations in the different shades of blue that become more visible upon close inspection. The textile itself alternates a more mesh-like texture with a classic plain weave, creating a more complex and subtle surface texture — evocative of pinpoint fabrics, it's more three-dimensional, and will continue to develop as it breaks in and softens from wear.
