Product details
1st PAT-RN is the brainchild of designers Cristiano Berto and Silvia Piccin, established out of their combined experience in design and fashion consultation. Their garments are laser focused on wearability and optimized for daily life. Kind of a strange sentence, because what clothes aren't? But it starts to make a lot more sense once you've tried on some 1st PAT-RN. Everything, and we do mean everything, from the fabric composition, to the cut, to the placement of pockets, is done with the wearer in mind.
The Field Jacket is a new style for A/W '24, a more modern take on the luxurious knit wool blazers that 1st PAT-RN are known for. The details are subtle and minimal, with four bucket pockets across the front, a hidden collar button beneath the lapel, and English internal seams for a clean finished interior without any lining. Compared to the Evans Jacket, the fit is more relaxed, particularly through the chest, for ease of layering and to add to the "country" silhouette.
To draw comparisons to other fabrics in our line-up, this knit is the professorial cousin of selvedge denim and loopwheel fleece. There are almost no machines left that can produce this particular fabric, and the few that remain can only turn out a few meters per hour. This low-tension knit is then brushed to give a buttery soft hand and ultimate comfort to the wearer. If you want a blazer that feels like your favorite hoodie, this is it. The gentle and airy hand is reminiscent of the best of loopwheeled sweats.
The deep navy knit is yarn-dyed, made with 100% virgin wool, and is sourced from a single old man in Italy. Variations in yarn weight, color, and the operation of the knitting machine result in a highly dynamic final product that differs slightly from season to season. As with 1st PAT-RN's other outerwear, the placket and sleeves all close up with tonal Italian Galalite buttons.
Fit is true to 1st PAT-RN's standards, running a little smaller than US sizing. Dry clean only.
