W'Menswear was founded by Lauren Yates in 2015, born out of a desire to produce high-quality, heritage-inspired garments for women — with a nuanced and ever-evolving perspective on femininity at the intersections of fashion, workwear, military garments, and history. Originally operating out of a converted shipping container in Bangkok, the brand has grown substantially with each new collection, employing specialty and custom fabrics as well as partnering with local workshops and artisans.
The Spring/Summer 2026 collection, "She Rode the Dawn," takes inspiration from the earliest days of women's motorcycle culture, celebrating the female dispatch riders of WWII. These pioneering women proved invaluable to the allied war effort, racing across dark and dangerous roads under threat of German bombs to ensure that vital information got where it needed. The styles pull from military and motorcycle influences, pairing utilitarian details with more feminine silhouettes and unique, premium textiles.
The Engineers Jacket is a brilliant single-pleat workwear jacket with a slightly cropped fit and a ton of utility. Featuring all metal snaps at the placket and cuffs, it has two external hand pockets and two internal chest pockets - with a pencil slot cleverly integrated into the front yoke of the jacket. The fit is easy, with enough room in the torso to layer, but not so much as to exaggerate or alter your silhouette.
This batch is made from Australian cotton and woven on shuttle looms in Thailand. It's dyed with a natural indigo from France, for a classic denim finish that will patina beautifully over time. Initially slightly stiff, the fabric clocks in at about 10oz, and will soften as it breaks in, getting more and more comfortable as you wear and wash this.
