Designed and manufactured in-house at their LA workshop, MATiAS produce some of the best fits we've experienced, with subtle and sometimes unusual tailoring details, employed deliberately to perfect drape, enhance comfort, & compliment their remarkable fabric choices.

The Elucaria Smoking Jacket is several styles in one, fully reversible, with a unique collar that can be worn spread, closed, or up to modify the jacket's silhouette. Assembled with a different configuration inside and out, the washed indigo denim face styles more like a work sack jacket, while the Italian wool herringbone face styles much more like a bomber or sportswear jacket thanks to the bemberg sleeves.

Featuring custom hardware, down to the double-sided hand sewn buttons, it's designed with a four pocket configuration, 3 open top pockets on one side, and one zip pocket on the reverse. Given how absolutely packed this piece is with details, it should come as no surprise that the garment exclusively features single-needle construction throughout, requiring the precise skills and focus of a talented operator to produce.

It's made with a 100% cotton outer face, a heavyweight 18oz Japanese indigo slub denim with a light blue vintage wash and a loose, textured weave. Inside, the fabric is a wool-blend herringbone from Italy, with a hairy texture that combines brown, tan, and beige yarns, as well as bemberg lining through the sleeves. The heavier seasonal fabrics pair nicely, giving the jacket a warm and substantial feel that's perfect for cooler weather.
