Description
Inspired by knockabout work shirts from the 1950s onwards, the Dayton Shirt is your classic Garage work shirt, complete with camp collar, twin chest pockets, and comfortable short sleeves. The fit is pretty standard, breezy and unrestrictive but in general not too slim or too wide, with a comfortable body that wears well both tucked and untucked.
It's made with Freenote's usual stellar construction, including their usual 1/8" double needle stitching and durable felled seams. The hardware, buttons in this case, are metal catseye buttons, and can be found the whole way up the placket as well as at the top of each chest pocket. After finishing, each shirt is also rinsed to account for any shrinkage and to help relax the fabric.
It's made from a 5oz Japanese chambray fabric, with a comfortably soft hand and breathable lightweight drape. Though initially quite light in color, it'll continue to fade over time as it wears in, creasing and turning light in areas of higher wear/movement.
Fits true to size. Wash cold and hang dry.
