MATiAS pieces fall somewhere between avant-garde and vintage workwear, into the realm of "post-heritage" - where the techniques and materials of the past intersect with new ideas and original styles. Designed and manufactured in-house at their LA workshop, MATiAS produce some of the best fits we've experienced, with subtle and sometimes unusual tailoring details, employed deliberately to perfect drape, enhance comfort, & compliment their remarkable fabric choices.
The Davalo Jacket takes inspiration from 1960s military garments, but with more contemporary and "L.A." styling as MATiAS put it. It's cut with a frayed stand collar, a cropped body, and two roomy chest pockets. There's sturdy rivet reinforcements throughout, as well as the usual meticulous single-needle construction we've come to expect from the team at MATiAS.
It's made from a dark indigo 100% cotton herringbone twill from Italy, and over time, this fabric fill develop handsome and pronounced fading as the indigo dye wears away.
Fits true to size. Wash cold and hang dry.
