W'Menswear was founded by Lauren Yates in 2015, born out of a desire to produce high quality, heritage-inspired garments for women - with a nuanced and ever-evolving perspective on femininity at the intersections of fashion, workwear, military garments, and history. Originally operating out of a converting shipping container in Bangkok, the brand has grown substantially with each new collection, employing specialty and custom fabrics as well as partnering with local workshops & artisans.

The 2024 collection, titled Diesel Fueled Defiance, is inspired by women who were on the forefront of automobile racing during the Civil Rights movements of the 1960s. Facing down particularly fierce and widespread sexist sentiments, these women brought about advancement for all women through their relentless pursuit of speed and the feeling of adventure.

The Burnout Pants are a really unique wide leg trouser with a high rise, pleated top block, and slightly cropped straight legs. The waistband is extra tall, with two front buttons and a bungee-cord tie in the back - more fitted at the waist than at the hips thanks to the multiple pleats at the front and back, they give off a very relaxed impression and silhouette. 

They're made from a 100% cotton Japanese check fabric, a comfortable medium-weight twill that features a sturdy drape and vibrant red/white pattern. The check is deliberately offset in the waistband, breaking the pattern up and creating a more emphasized silhouette. Over time, the cotton will relax, taking the shape of the wearer's body as the fabric breaks in from wear and washing.
