Description
Motiv draft their patterns by hand, sampling garments on living models for drape and making adjustments until the desired fit is achieved. This old world tailoring style gives every piece an anatomical cut, conforming to your body better than garments cut and sewn entirely flat. Motiv's fabrics and materials are sourced from the very best mills around the world, frequently making using of custom and wholly unique fabrics woven to Motiv's specifications.
The Bund Trousers are a wide leg pleated pant from Motiv with one of their most exaggerated silhouettes. They're cut wide and relaxed, with generous double pleats at the front and creased legs for a slightly more classic look, with a leg shape that balloons out a touch before tapering below the knee. They've got a high rise, with a fitted "Hollywood" waist and darts in the rear and a more traditional 3 pocket configuration, with a zip fly and an asymmetrical button closure above the fly. They're easily one of our favorite trouser fits this season, and even more so if we're only talking about trousers with wide fits.
These are made from a superfine 100% cotton satin, a tightly-woven and surprisingly sturdy fabric with an all-black dye that really absorbs light. As the fabric wears in, it will soften and relaxed considerably, breaking-in to the shape of the wearer's body, and taking on a texture more similar to a lightweight moleskin fabric, particularly after washing. All that said, it's an immediately comfortable fabric, with a pretty prefect weight to wear anytime indoors or in milder climates, ideal for Spring and Autumn.
Fits true to size in the waist with an exaggerated leg. Wash cold and hang dry.
