From Victorian era curiosities to early 20th century equestrian and motorcycle wear to rare WW2 era items - Black Sign garments are beautifully constructed, with a shared identity and aesthetic cohesion running through the collection to a degree we rarely see in brands focusing on reproductions & recreations.

A stand collar fishtail parka inspired by vintage military outerwear, the Oiled Cotton Rebel Coat is a relaxed and functional shell that promises a handsome patina over time, and can be combined with the Oiled Quilting Liner Jacket for additional warmth. Featuring an oversized fit through the body, it's got two hand pockets at the front and Black Sign embroidery across the left breast. Like any good parka, the fit can be tweaked with a variety of snaps, internal drawstrings, and buttons.

It's made from an oiled 100% cotton fabric from British Millerain, a world-renowned manufacturer of oiled and waxed fabrics. This particular fabric is treated with the company's proprietary (and secret) solvent for water resistance, also imbuing the fabric with a unique texture that will patina dramatically over time, forming "chalk marks" and creases with wear.
