Description

The 2M15C Jersey Tee is a fantastic lightweight basic, clocking in at a very comfortable 6.8oz (the fabric weight by yard, not the weight of the tee itself), it's soft and airy, with a natural drape and classic boxy fit. It's a fantastically elevated basic tee, produced on vintage loopwheeler machines in the German mountains and made from high quality 100% cotton yarns. This version is cut with a shorter torso for a more cropped fit.

The vintage loopwheelers they knit their fabric up on are notably slow - humming along at just 1 meter per hour and producing about one half roll of fabric in a day. By comparison, a modern knitting machine can blast out about five full rolls in the same amount of time, operating at roughly 10 times the speed of a loopwheeler.

The fabrics created are anything but equal. The "slow and steady" nature of loopwheel machines comes from the gravity-fed nature of the knit - with minimal tension applied, the finished product is light, airy, and remarkably soft from the moment its knit.

Featuring a relaxed fit throughout the chest and vintage 1/4 length sleeves triangle inserts underneath for additional ease of movement.
