Product details
Produced in Japan by Warehouse & Co, John Gluckow garments are designed in collaboration with John Gluckow himself, a long time industry veteran and respected vintage collector. Each piece is functionally familiar but stylistically unique - not interested in simply replaying the hits, John finds weird, funky, and obscure styles that nobody else is making and rebuilds them to the highest quality.
The 1910s Netmaker's Trousers are some of the best denim we've gotten our hands on. These have an extremely unique construction, with tailoring details that lead John Gluckow and associates to believe that the original designer of these probably mainly produced tents and non-apparel items. In addition to the charming asymmetrical front pockets and reinforced hand pockets, they feature wrapped legs that don't have any outseam.
They're cut with a respectable medium high rise that fits comfortably without going up too far. The top block is pleasantly roomy, with a flattering unisex fit that continues down to two (moderately wide) straight legs. The waistband and inseam feature internal selvedge details, and the fly closes up with metal donut buttons.
The fabric is a custom lightweight Japanese selvedge denim, made from 100% cotton, it's an indigo-dyed fabric with a low tension weave and unique surface texture. Stiff and sturdy at first, these will soften considerably with washing, as well as fading over time as the indigo dye wears down. Initially large, these will shrink down to tag size upon washing.
Fits true to size after washing (will shrink to tag size). Wash cold and hang dry.
