Description
The Dr. Martens Made in England line is produced at the original factory in Wollaston, England, using premium materials and the same construction methods beloved vintage docs. Every pair is manufactured with a heat-sealing treatment that bonds the sole and uppers together as strongly as possible.
The 1461 Oxford Shoe is a chunky casual shoe with three eyelets and a structured toe. It's been a part of the Dr. Martens lineup for the past 60 years, returning again and again in different iterations — this model keeps it simple, with a plain toe and strip back heel, letting the silhouette and leather speak for themselves.
The Burgundy Quilion leather is a supple and comfortable calfskin leather with handsome tonal variety and a slight pull-up effect (where the leather appears lighter in color in areas with more movement or when it is under tension). With a gentle shine and totally smooth grain texture, they'll break in fairly quickly and only get better and better with age.
The trims are worthy of the construction and labor, with brass-backed blind eyelets and heavy duty woven laces closing up the front. They stand on a custom Dr. Martens sole, with a stacked semi-lug tread that offers some of the very best in durability, traction, and comfort — boasting oil, fat, acid, alkali, and petrol resistance on the bottom of every pair. The inside features a custom leather insole, and the uppers are held together with high SPI (stitches per-inch) tonal thread.
These fit true to US size, which is UK -1. So, if you're a size 9 US on the Brannock device, select size UK 8 for the correct fit.
