Description
In case you forgot that Kapital started out as a denim brand, we got these to help remind you. The MONKEY TH is Kapital's newest cut of jeans, and maybe our favorite from them, with a wide-straight fit that we think looks great on pretty much everyone. It's a really classic five-pocket configuration, with a nice high rise, button fly, and a Kapital-branded leather flasher on the back.
It's made from a 13.5oz selvedge denim, woven from long-staple Zimbabwean cotton that gives the fabric exceptional softness and durability (for a moderately-heavy denim). The weave is slightly irregular, with an uneven face and a subtly neppy texture that will continue to develop beautifully over time. Kapital have also finished these with a one-wash treatment to remove most of the shrinkage (they still might come in a hair, especially if you're washing or drying hot — but will stretch back out with wear) and to soften them up a bit.
Like any good denim, these will fade with wear and washing, getting better and better as they age alongside you, wearing in not out, as we like to say. They stress points are reinforced with copper rivets, another classic detail, and they're stitched up with a handsome contrasting bronze/orange thread. Not much else to add really, there's no funky detail or twist, just a really solid pair of jeans with a fantastic fit.
Similar to Kapital's other jeans, these run small! We suggest pretty much everyone size up from their usual tag size, because these measure about 2" tighter through the waist than their tag size would imply. Wash cold and hang dry.
