Description
Kapital's Reversible Work Jacket has come in many iterations over the years, but this might be our favorite version so far, riffing on vintage blanket-lined denim jackets but with a few fun twists... It's got a relaxed fit, with a cropped body and a two-way zip placket (those zippers are also reversible, which is a must for any two-way jacket), and three external pockets on the denim side. The waist also features side tab snap adjusters, so you can bring the silhouette in if desired.
The "outside" face is made from an 11.5oz, cotton/nylon denim that Kapital have given a medium wash-and-fade finish to, softening it considerably and adding tasteful patina to the indigo, complete with puckered seams, honeycombing in the elbows, and gradient fades through the waist and shoulders. The collar is trimmed with a light beige corduroy for a bit of visual pop, and to nod in the direction of the jackets that inspired this style.
The "inside" face of the jacket (which can be worn as the exterior) uses an acylic/poly blanket fabric with a classic stripe pattern and a neppy, uneven texture throughout. It's also got a pretty sweet skeleton design on the front, back, and sleeves, with denim "trims" at the cuffs, hem, and collar. When worn skeleton-side-out, the pockets are all internal, so that nothing breaks up the impressive visual design.
It's quite literally two jackets in one, with twice the versatility of your standard outerwear, clocking in at a comfortable weight for cooler weather and light layering, but also does a pretty great job in colder conditions, too. Over time, it'll continue to fade, pill, and soften as you wear it, getting better and better with time (and care).
