With a stylistic focus that zooms in on the era where denim transitioned from "workwear" to a casual fabric, Fullcount were the first brand to start making their denim from hand-picked Zimbabwean cotton, which is famous for its long staple length (granting it both greater softness and durability than short staple cottons).
The 0107-21 Fit (the "Monroe") are a high rise, wide leg women's fit in a classic five pocket style. Cut with a snug waist that opens up into a more relaxed top block, full thighs, and a straight leg down to a wide opening, these are an exceptional relaxed fit jean with all the vintage details.
They're made from Fullcount's black denim, a 13.5oz black/gray, 100% cotton selvedge denim, produced in Japan. An extremely comfortable medium weight, these are suitable for wear almost year-round. Rather than the more common double black denim, Fullcount combine black warp threads with a gray weft for a less aggressively dark fabric with more tonal and textural variety. Over time, the fabric will relax and open up from wear, while washing will help bring the fabric back in via slight shrinkage.
The trims are also worth noting, as they're on par with the excellent fit and fabric - custom Fullcount copper rivets and 100% cotton thread keep everything held together, while a custom Fullcount metal button and a zip fly close up the front. On the back, Fullcount's goatskin tag sits above two roomy rear pockets.
These fit very small in the waist - check our measurements before ordering (or contact us if you don't see measurements). Cold wash and hang dry.
