Like so many of our favorite brands, Attractions was born from an appreciation of vintage clothing. Originally founded in 2006, Attractions began as a vintage reseller, importing pieces from the United States and UK before starting their own production in 2011. Their experience in the vintage world provided them with the knowledge and inspiration necessary to develop their own styles, growing into an impressive and unique brand in a market saturated with alternatives.
An elevated twist on the Loafer/Slipper shoe, Attractions' Horsehair Vamp Slip-On is just that, a sleek and dressy shoe with a hair-on-hide vamp and no laces. To assist with the fit, the tongue is slightly elasticated, helping to sit snugly over your instep and keep these shoes on your feet. Inspired by mid-century dress shoes, these are an elevated and unique alternative to your standard black leather oxfords or blutchers.
They're made from a kip velour suede leather, with Japanese hair-on-horsehide trims down the vamp. Both leathers are immediately soft, breaking in quickly and without much difficulty. The hair on hide portion is selected to tonally compliment the all-black kip leather, but can (and may) differ from what is pictured here, as it is a natural material that will not be the same on every animal.
They're constructed with a 360 degree goodyear storm welt, with a plush crepe outsole and heel for maximum comfort. The modified moc-toe construction is reminiscent of other dress loafers and evening shoes, making this right at home in more formal outfits and among dinner attire.
