Designed and manufactured in-house at their LA workshop, MATiAS produce some of the best fits we've experienced, with subtle and sometimes unusual tailoring details, employed deliberately to perfect drape, enhance comfort, & compliment their remarkable fabric choices.
The Hana Shirt is the MATiAS interpretation of the classic vintage Aloha shirt, with all the classic details intact as well as a few new twists we see far less frequently. The fit is exaggerated, with an oversized body and elongated sleeves that can be tailored down to the perfect length with ease (whatever "the perfect length" means to you). It's got the classic camp collar with a loop and hidden button that let you wear it fully closed should you so desire.
It's cut with a five button placket (not counting the hidden top button) and a single chest pocket, and sits handsomely open or closed, allowing the shirt to function as "outerwear" on the hottest days. The whole thing is sewn up with single needle construction - a clean and elevated way to finish an already exceptional shirt.
It's made from an exceptionally soft rose-colored double gauze fabric that's woven from 100% organic cotton. Weighing in at just 3.5oz, it's lightweight and breezy, perfect for the already relaxed and oversized fit of the Hana Shirt and hot summer days.
Fits true to size. Preshrunk, but we still suggest washing cold and hanging to dry.
