The Work Sack Jacket was inspired by the highly functional and stylish worker's jackets of the 1920s. Usually made from hard-wearing materials and cut into anatomical, tailored fits, Motiv's latest version is no exception, using a heavyweight raw French linen.

Cut into a four-button stance, the lapels hide a fifth button, which can be done up to remove the labels and raise the collar. Three welted pockets with flaps can be found across the front of the jacket, with another three more on the inside, so you have plenty of space to carry things. Inside, a floating buggy lining gives just a little bit of extra comfort and structure, as well as allowing air to vent more freely through the interior while you move.

The fabric is a the very highest quality raw French Linen in the world, sourced directly from the last vertically integrated linen weaver in France. A heavyweight linen twill, the jacket was sewn up "raw" before being garment-dyed and then given a wash, softening it dramatically and creating a naturally worn look, with tonal highs lows as well as subtle fading.

Over time, this fabric will fade more, revealing the natural flax color of the linen beneath the clay brown dye (NOTE: this garment was NOT dyed with clay, "clay" is simply the name of this shade of brown).
