Made exclusively for S&S in Collaboration with Blluemade:
The body is a classic sawtooth western shirt, complete with two zig-zag chest pockets, an angular front & back yoke, as well as sawtooth cuffs and barrel snaps to close the whole thing up. They're cut long enough to wear tucked without difficulty, but not so long they look weird when not tucked in, and feature a comfortable and relaxed body that fits just about anyone.
It's sewn up in an exceptionally soft and plush Italian 3-wale corduroy. Made from 100% cotton yarns, the "wale" of a corduroy fabric refers to the thickness of its vertical rows (called "wales"), with smaller numbers indicating thicker and heavier fabrics, while larger numbers indicate more narrow, micro-cords.
The cool, muted blue-gray color of the body is complimented by the bright blue weft yarns, which subtly peek through the surface of the fabric and produce a shimmering, multi-tonal effect. Viewed from different angles and in different lighting, the fabric appears almost alive, easily the most unique and handsome texture we've encountered in a corduroy.
The shirts are sewn up in a family-owned and women-run workshop in NYC's Garment District, & feature custom "Blluemade for Standard & Strange" labels, as well as your classic western shirt details - executed with the highest attention to detail.
Fits true to size. We suggest washing cold and hanging to dry for minimal shrinkage.
