Warehouse & Co came about in 1995, as the final members of the Osaka 5, the collective responsible for driving the vintage and selvedge denim boom of the 1990s. Founded by former Evisu and Full Count employees, the twin brothers Kenji and Kenichi Shiotani, Warehouse is known for their meticulous detail and considered construction.
A classic, old school, chambray work shirt, inspired by blue collar workwear from the early half of the 20th century. Cut with an elongated body, two flap cover chest pockets, a hidden chin strap, and tonal nut buttons, it's designed to be worn tucked in, with tailoring details like selvedge gussets at the hem and an inverted back pleat for comfort and ease of motion.
It's sewn up from a slightly stiff 100% cotton twisted chambray, that will soften considerably and fade slowly over time with wear and washing. The fabric has a lot of character, with an uneven slubby texture throughout that looks better and better the closer you get to it.
