Samuel Zelig is for lovers. New to S&S by way of the Oakland & Santa Fe stores, Samuel Zelig is a brand to watch out for, featuring inspired riffs on workwear and sportswear classics that drip with personality - from every fabric to each individual embellishment. Either thanks to or in spite of their maximalist design, SZ pieces play well with others, blending extremely well with both the vintage styles that inspired them and more the more contemporary pieces they evoke.
Primarily focused on knitwear, SZ produce "Uniform" style basics with extensive customization and personality, with each patch or embroidery designed in-house for each specific garment. Thanks to their unique design and shocking versatility, Samuel Zelig pieces have become a staple around our shops, easily worn as statement pieces or intermediate layers without ever feeling out of place.
Based on vintage knitwear from the years around the great depression, the Sycamore cycling crew is a profoundly interesting and unique variation on our favorite sweatshirt. Featuring custom patches throughout and chainstitched lettering across the front, it's the perfect gear for repping a fictional cycling club.
It's made from a 15oz, 100% cotton french terry cloth from Japan that's been given a vintage wash to prematurely patina the fabric. The collar, hem, and cuffs feature a 1x1 rib knit for extra security, with v-knit inserts at the front and back of the collar for extra ventilation and moisture-wicking.
The construction is solid, from the inset sleeves to the double-needle coverstitched seams - it's built to last a long time. The vintage wash process that fades the fabric also accounts for initial softness and shrinkage, leaving it perfectly worn in from the moment you put it on.
