Momotaro are one of the in-house brands of Collect Mills, which means that they produce their own fabrics, and can be as wild or imaginative as they want with them. Though Momotaro is primarily known for their (very good) denim, it would be a crime to ignore their other offerings, the shirts, knits and jackets that make up the rest of the lineup (because they are also very good).
Momotaro's work shirts are a continuing favorite of ours. Every year, we order a few more, and we're never disappointed. Cut with a slightly tailored, not-too-slim-not-too-wide body, it's long enough to tuck in (if you love high rises like we do), but not so long as to look strange untucked.
The fabric is a 100% herringbone twill check plaid, with a soft brushed hand. It has two bias-cut chest pockets, in the style of vintage check flannels, and heavy-duty triple stitching at the shoulders, sleeves, and side seams. A vintage flannel in the making, if you will.
Runs true to size, with a slightly trim fit - if you're between sizes, go up. Minimal shrinkage expected with a cold wash and hang dry.
